The ice is calling, and the Birmingham Bulls and Pelham Hockey are ready to help the next generation of hockey stars take their first glide. The Little Toros Learn to Skate Program is the perfect first step for kids who have never played hockey but want to get started — no experience required!
This eight-week program focuses on developing the foundational skating skills necessary to progress into the Learn to Play Program and, ultimately, league play. The next session runs from August 14 to October 2, with classes held on Thursdays from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. at the Pelham Civic Complex.
Little Toros is divided into three courses — Basic 1, Basic 2, and Basic 3 — covering essential skating skills, including two-foot glides, forward swizzles, and backward swizzles. Participants must pass each level before graduating to the Learn to Play Program. Due to the buildable nature of the program, new participants are only allowed to join until week 4 (Sept 4)
For Ages 4–17
Price: $165 for the eight-week program
Gear Package (optional): $310 for personal equipment
Price includes eight weekly classes, skate rentals, a helmet (limited supply), gloves (limited supply), and a stick. Bringing your own equipment is encouraged.
